Many older adults in lower Fairfield County live on less than $40 a day for ALL of their needs: rent, food, utilities, and more.

For just $30 a year, you can cover a member’s fees and give them access to a vibrant, caring community.

Why Support the SSC?

Unlike many other senior centers, the SSC is not operated or fully funded by its municipally (although we are certainly grateful to be given an annual grant from the City of Stamford and space at the Government Center building), we must raise more than 50% of our annual operating budget from other sources. While our members do pay a modest annual membership fee, we purposely keep these fees far lower than our actual cost of operating — ensuring that our doors remain open to diverse people of all incomes.

What all this means is that we need YOUR support! Every single gift makes a direct difference to the members of our vibrant community.
